This page explains what we do with your information when you use the members’ video area at members.cliveelliott.net. We’ve kept it plain and short. If anything here isn’t clear, please just ask.
Who runs this
The members’ area is run by Clive Elliott’s Martial Arts Academies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales (company number OC451419). Our registered office is 22 Clary Road, Swindon, SN2 2SB.

What we hold
We keep the smallest amount of information needed to let you log in and watch the videos you’re entitled to:
- Your name.
- Your email address, which is how you log in.
- The programmes you train in and your belt grade, so we can show you the right videos.
- Your login sessions, so we can keep you signed in.
- Which videos have been played, so Clive can see what’s being used.
When a video plays, your email address is shown faintly over the picture as a watermark. This is deliberate. It discourages people from copying and sharing the videos.
We do not hold addresses, dates of birth, medical or emergency details, or anything else from your club membership. Those stay in the club’s own records and never reach this website.
Where it comes from
Your name, email, programmes and grade come from the club’s membership records, which are held in Spark Membership. The membership list is what decides who can log in and what they can watch. This website simply reads from it.
Why we’re allowed to hold it
Under UK data protection law we need a lawful basis for using your information:
- To provide the service you signed up for. We use your details to give paying members access to the videos, as part of your membership agreement.
- To protect the service. The play history and per-member watermark help us keep the videos secure and fairly used. We have a legitimate interest in doing this.
Many of our members are children. Children do not have their own logins. A family logs in with the parent or guardian’s email address, and that adult is the person we deal with about the account and this data. We handle everything here with that in mind.
Where your data lives
The membership data for this website is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. We also rely on a few trusted providers to run the service:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and its database.
- Bunny Stream delivers the video playback.
- Resend sends the login-link and account emails.
These providers only process your data on our instructions, to run the parts of the service they handle.
How long we keep it
When a member is deactivated or removed from the club’s membership list, their record on this website is removed too, along with their linked programmes, grades and play history. In other words, your data here lasts as long as your membership does.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- See the information we hold about you (access).
- Correct anything that’s wrong (rectification).
- Delete your information (erasure).
To do any of these, email Hannah Horton at info@cliveelliott.net. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
What we don’t do
We never sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising. There are no adverts or tracking on this website.
